FOOD VENDOR RULES - 2023
1.Only items listed on this application may be displayed/ sold.
2.Set-up time for booths in designated areas must be completed between the hours of 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM. All vehicles must be removed from the streets by 8:30 AM. Sistrunk reserves the right to assign placement of the vendor booths.
3.Vendors will be responsible for paying their own sales tax.
4.No music is allowed in the tents. All entertainment will be provided by the Sistrunk Festival.
5.No sharing of tents, unless preauthorized by the Sistrunk Festival Committee.
6.The Sistrunk Festival Committee will provide signage for each tent. Any vendor-provided banners must be neatly displayed and confined to the assigned area. Vendors are responsible for properly displaying a listing of products sold and the corresponding prices.
7.Vendors are responsible for the decoration of their own tents. Vendors must bring their own decorations, tablecloths, and signs. You may bring your own chairs and additional tables, if needed. Vendors are fully responsible for any damages to the tents.
8.Vendors are required to provide a fire extinguisher under each food booth. Food vendors are also required to adhere to the rules and regulations (see following page) for a Temporary Event Vendor, as provided by Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulations.
9.Food vendors must read and comply with the "Temporary Event Food Service Requirements" -- page 3-4 of 2023 Sistrunk Food Vendor Application (DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATIONS). If any vendor is found in violations of any rules and regulations or failure to comply with rules and guidelines established for this event, the vendor will be removed immediately by security.
10.Food vendors must provide proof of insuance and business license at the time of application submission. The insurance certificate must reflect the following as additional insureds: Sistrunk Historical Organization, City of Fort Lauderdale AND Broward County Board of County Commisioners. No exceptions!
11.Vendors must clean their booths and the surrounding area at the close of the Festival. A $100 CASH or BLANK MONEY ORDER deposit (no checks) will be collected THE MORNING OF THE FESTIVAL. Food vendors are prohibited from setting up the morning of the event if this fee has not been paid. This deposit will be refunded after cleanup of the area at the end of the event.
12.Violators of rules or illegal vendors will be reported to the City of Fort Lauderdale's Police Department.
